Today I discovered that students needed support in two areas:
* evaluating sources online
* keeping track of their research
The first skill is very relevant to the subject we're studying: history. Being able to evaluate & source texts for reliability will make students better readers of history.
The second skill will be useful across the disciplines.
I'm extremely excited about this project and finding that the tone of the classroom feels collaborative and positive when we are doing this project workshop. I think it's helping me ask questions that are more productive.
I wonder if this workshop might be a useful component for our Lesson Study observations. Perhaps we could observe questioning within the workshop format?
